The Festival of Trees, an annual celebration of Christmas tree decoration and gingerbread houses, opens to the public on Sunday at the Western Development Museum in Saskatoon.
This year's theme for the displays is "A time for Peace," after singer Roger Whittaker's song of the same name.
Decorators representing businesses across the city each take a shot at expressing that theme through garland, tinsel, toys, lights and ornaments.
The show also features a gingerbread house display, featuring ornate scenes fashioned of gingerbread, candy and icing.
Proceeds from admission and the sale of gingerbread goes to the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation.
Doors are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., from Nov. 21 to Nov. 27.
