  • The average schmuck would give a damn and just toss them in the garbage.

    Also, a lot of these bulbs are made really cheap these days, and "blow up" prematurely. I know someone who showed me two bulbs that broke very quickly.

    Lastly, the industry makes a lot of money by intentionally reducing the life span of their products.

  • My family and I replaced some bulbs with flourescent ones and they are just as bright. Their worth it since they save alot more power and you dont need to replace them as much.

  • You spelt fluorescent wrong. :)

  • I'm not very environmentally friendly. I use two 100 watt Reveal bulbs in my bedroom. I tried to use them around the house, but everyone else complains on how bright they are.

  • Hell, I never turn on lights anyways... I just rely on a window or my computer monitor.

  • LEDs for the win.

  • i use G E CFL s we just put them in all our rooms in the house.
