i think it might be easier for bilingual people to pick up a third lang as you have already learnt two. your tongue and ears will be more sensitive to adjust to another new lang?

@LincolnHo I cant speak for sure for him, but for me, I am Russian-American so I grew up bilingual, speaking both languages fluently. Knowing 2 languages allows me to pick up subtle nuances. When I started learning Mandarin, I had perfect pronunciation (according to my chinese teacher) almost instantly (I did try, it wasnt without effort). I still cant speak like a native but I can pronounce everything right, which seems to be the hard part for most, vs. the grammar etc

I can see how foreigners learn Chinese and speak it when they live in those countries. But how the heck were you able to pick up the language at 19 without an accent?!?! It's very hard to speak fluently with any non-mother-tongue (especially tonal languages) after the pre-teens. Awesome man! You're a very talented and gifted individual and will go many places in life.
