Iranian American Speaking Fluent Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)

Started learning Chinese at 19 and now speaks perfect Chinese in both Cantonese and Mandarin!

外國人識講廣東話同普通話

伊朗出世美國人,19歲去加拿大溫哥華做義工開始學習廣東話,隨後在猶他大學修讀中文與會計。
普通話雖然聽得出口音,但是流利過絕大多數香港人

  • this is insane!

  • so badass/impressive. lol

  • @EadNomad Thats the conclusion Im coming to

  • @martydrooo

i think it might be easier for bilingual people to pick up a third lang as you have already learnt two. your tongue and ears will be more sensitive to adjust to another new lang?

  • @LincolnHo I cant speak for sure for him, but for me, I am Russian-American so I grew up bilingual, speaking both languages fluently. Knowing 2 languages allows me to pick up subtle nuances. When I started learning Mandarin, I had perfect pronunciation (according to my chinese teacher) almost instantly (I did try, it wasnt without effort). I still cant speak like a native but I can pronounce everything right, which seems to be the hard part for most, vs. the grammar etc

  • @chinesekmt

his accent is not that girlie ah, lol

  • Props to you. You the man.

  • 23 people dont know a second language :D

  • I can see how foreigners learn Chinese and speak it when they live in those countries. But how the heck were you able to pick up the language at 19 without an accent?!?! It's very hard to speak fluently with any non-mother-tongue (especially tonal languages) after the pre-teens. Awesome man! You're a very talented and gifted individual and will go many places in life.

  • 你說得真好! 歡迎來台灣 :)
