I love Paul Schaffer, but he doesn't know how to bring the menace like Conway does.

The house band doesn't do a bad job, but they're not the Bad Seeds. What a strange vision, Nick Cave on Letterman?? Perhaps he would be better suited to Sesame Street.

@peerenboom77 : I had this on VHS tape. After the commercial break Letterman said in a very sarcastic voice "That was Nick Cave with the beautifull and haunting I HAD A DREAM JOE". The crod erupted into laughter. Was kinda funny, tongue in cheek.

@TwardylikeTank yes. i'm getting the same thing. i was wondering why it sounded weird, i'm mean, besides Paul, and that guitarist doing hammer-ons..

@RedMapp1 You have really good taste in music. Yeah he is on every Letterman show.
To the person that uploaded this, I have a question, that is, if you have the entire episode. During this episode, I remember Letterman making a derogatory comment toward Nick Cave and the band. It was a sarcastic throwaway about well we have have NIck Cave singing I Have a Dream, Joe, as if to imply "So, who gives a shit? Who the hell is this guy?" I was wondering if you could verify if that happened or if I remember it wrong -- perhaps he didn't mean it the way that I remember it.

@peerenboom77 I dont have the full episode, but wouldnt be surprised if he made a remark like that. Check out some of my other Letterman vid`s like the James Brown one and you`ll see what I mean.
