Watch the video I am responding to here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcp0rwLmoVM - We have had a problem for at least the time I have been here, roughly 20 years. They need to just chop down all the trees near and under the lines, not just trim them back over and over. Most all the trees at the fencelines are all overgrown weeds that are now trees. This is so nutty what they do. I will try to catch film of what I mean. They have some cut that are now 1 sided, tall, heavy and leaning into the roads. So dumb. They just want to make money. Thanks for checking this out.

  • Over 50 hours without power? Was it not possible to reroute the power (or using a generator)

so that you did have electricity? The longest time i did not have electricity was aprox. 7 hours (replacement meter and wires to the meter (maintenance to avoid problems later)).

  • @wamaweur They just recently, within the last month finished fixing the real problem. I found out what happened here in this video recently as well. I guess they had 2 transformers for 79 houses. They just put in about 6 poles and more tranformers. Plus three lines at the top now raising and eliminating the lowers. They tried to rig it a few times before and thats why and what caused it to boil as seen in this video.

  • what kind of cam and mic system are you using? the sound quality and vid are very good.

  • @23chilled JVC Everio. It was a good camera. Better than my new one. Not sure the model at this second. They are currently working on running primaries through. And more new transformers. Apparently they had 79 houses on 2 of those type transformers. Which apparently they are supposed to have a dozen. I have the leader ropes tied to my fence at this very moment. I may do another video soon or when they finish?

  • Ah it looks as if the wire just beyond the bushing closest to the camera was detached, and arcing about inside. Amazed that no air was inside or BOOM!

  • @MrGerbilBrain The two across the street blew about a month before that. A huge tree fell on the wires so it was all over. Boom! Boom! Those flashes coverered about 1,000 feet of ground in blue. I felt it in my room at the window, the hair stood up on my arms just a little. I was looking directly at a trnsformer when one blew up when I was about 12. It was right down the block.

  • @whatsnextnow19791 no possible way 2 transformers were running 79 house

  • Haha! That's strange, it should have blown a fuse!

  • @whatsnextnow19791 The city I live in, we had a transformer problem in December 2009. We had a black-out for 1 WEEK! It was crazy! Oh, also across the STREET still had power. Luckily, we had a kerosene heater to keep our house warm.

  • mmmmm deep fried chicken any one lisen to that oil boil

  • You should have got up there and deep fried some fries or nuggets in that hot ass oil. lol

  • sounds like a frying pan moehahaha anny one party snacks ??

  • somebody's pulling way the hell too much power

  • @whatsnextnow19791

I think that you are right. Now it is a more logic reason for the time that you did not have electricity.
