aw that sucks! well its been years since i read those book so i suppose reading them again now would be like reading new stories. i can't really say i have a favorite since i loved every story, but i do remember 2 of them that stuck out in my mind for some reason. 1 was about a wife who played hide and go seek at her wedding. she hid in a trunk and she got locked in by accident. she ended up dying in there and her body wasn't found till years later in the attic. the stories image of the dead..

wifes body stuck in my head since it was disturbingly cool. the second was a story about this girl who kept hearing this strange noise at night when she was sleeping. she thought it was her roomate, but she never turned on the lights or did anything about it. in the morning she found her roomates head had been cut off and it was done when she was trying to sleep in the dark. that was the noise that was keeping her awake. i believe those are how the stories went although i could be wrong.

wow you just took me back. "scary stories to tell in the dark" where awesome books. i remember that those where the only horror books and very few things that ever managed to actually scare me. i actually felt a little creeped out reading them at times when i was younger. i wonder if they made any past the third one?
