Since electronic musicians are so frequently accused of having no talent, I figured I'd explain to the uneducated people claiming it why they are wrong.

Not to be rude but you are completely wrong. Maye if you were speaking on a mediocre hardstep producer I could agree, but the plethora of different subgenres and sounds in EDM leave room for limitless possibilities and those are fully utilized by a lot of the artists out there. If you listen to most trance, chillstep, dubstep, trap, or similar subs, you can see this. Watch The TomorrowLand 2012 Official Aftermovie and you may get a good idea of how this music affects its fans emotionally as well

People need to stop critisizing electronic musicians and start criticizing the guy who splattered some paint on a canvas and sold it for 7 digits. Look up worlds most expensive painting. (I'm not critisizing painters, I'm critisizing this guy,

I'll agree to skills and efforts, not to emotions. From what I've seen, a lot of EDM is the just the same loops layered in different sequences; there's really no musical progression to it, and it's completely static. There are no emotions because the dynamics stay the same, they don't reach peaks or lows, there's no subtlety to it.

As an electronic music producer I too face this criticism. I love all genres of music so I don't really feel the need to bitch too much lol

The only thing that bothers me other than these point (which are fantastic I might add lol) is that the critics don't see how much time and effort goes into making a sound.

Programming a KSD in massive is not 'light work'. It takes a lot of practice and I tend to find these people haven't even heard of a waveform ect. Just need something to complain about.
