Holden Captiva LX diesel Stockton beach Off Road On the sand

Fun in the sand in a Holden captive diesel. Went great all day. High profile tyre and a few more inches of ground clearance would have been great. It rained the night befor so sand was firm. But the little turbo diesel 2L held it's own. No problem all day,

So if you are the once per year type. Yes the Captiva is enough to come out and play. But with Broken Plastic engine/radiator deflectors low ground clerance ,lack of LSD and suspesnion that will not cope with this treatment,my suggestion is buy a Jeep. Yes a jeep a cherokee on the 2011 on air bags that can be adjusted from cabin.

You will not do as muchg damage,the low profile tyres will not want to roll of the rims and so on.

Its hard to comment on Bush it is not my machine.

The dillema is the size of the tyres. I would suggest going to a tooler profile tyre on a 16 rims 245/65-16 would be a nice tyre thay would give ou protection for the rime and better grip.

Next issue is the ground clerance and the plastic sump guards under the car.

Old man Emu lift and trying to find good qulity skip plates and than baisic trails should be of no issue at all.

Lack of LSD,low range. but thats another day.
