Rep. Darrell Issa: "You Are Not A Part of the 99%"

As part of Take Back The Capitol (99inDC.org), Community members from Good Jobs LA, SEIU Local 221 members and others visited Rep Issa's office to inquire about why he failed to support the jobs act. After refusing to leave, the community members were thrown out of Rep Issa's office. Later, 4 individuals were allowed to return to the office to wait for Rep. Issa. Upon arrival, Rep Issa insisted on answering questions about his financial decisions and how that did or did not effect his ability to work on behalf of the 99%.

@Dipstikk They happened at the protest within the camps, half of those persons were getting robbed blind by the others who felt they should share the wealth. You can't hide the truth from people and then expect them to believe you the next time around. The cities are already calculating how much it will take to clean up the waste and filth from the Occupy movement at a time when budgets are tight! The poor might have to lose programs to pay for their disgusting irresponsible behavior!

a. You mean like GE that made billions in profit, paid no taxes, but our current President has placed the CEO on many boards including one on how to create jobs.

If you ban corporations from lobbying, then you must ban Unions or any organization with a financial stake in using government.

b. The 1 percent pay more than their fair share, unless they are GE.

a. Get corporate money out of politics and vice versa. Do not allow corporations to fund politicians, do not allow politicians to make deals with corporations.

b. Tax people within the 1 percent and remove any loopholes that would allow them to avoid paying their fair share.

c. Prosecute the financial institutions that are responsible for committing fraud by gambling with money that wasn't theirs.

Feel free to ignore them and call them liberals, instead of making counterpoints.

@Africanus1 You mean the crimes and rapes that took place in areas near the protests, right? Because out of all the reporting I've seen on these rapes and crimes, only a few of the articles actually try to link them to the protests themselves, and those few articles are run by conservative interests.

All the crimes, rapes and disgusting behavior by the OWS crowd broadcasted on TV are driving away sympathizers in droves.
