I've been a HUGE Karen Mason fan since she was in JEROME ROBBINS' BROADWAY (1990). I saw her do that show several times including closing night, and her "Mr. Monotony" defies all laws of music -- possibly the best vocal moment I've ever heard on Broadway (and I've heard a LOT). I'm also lucky enough to know Karen now, and she's one of the lovliest people around.
I first heard Karen sing at the old Duplex on Grove Street when I was a post grad student at Parsons back in '79 / '80. I remember posters all over Manhatten of her photographed by Skrebneski. I thought she was terrific. I still do.
I did this show with her in 98. AMAZING.

Amazing talent! The arrangement sounds like one of Brian's, from the old days. Amazing talent as well.
