Monster Party (NES) Ending

Ending for Monster Party. I'm glad i didn't play this game as a little kid. If i did happen to beat it when I was a kid, the raiders of the lost ark face melting pictures at the end would have given me nightmares.

you know if you really think about it this ending is telling us something. Maybe those creatures you fought werent "monsters". I mean look at what they say: "watch my dance", "my legs asleep" , "HI!!!!". Maybe bert was the real monstor. and this was a case of self defense for those other monsters. Also maybe that present Bert gave Mark was really his way of taking control of his life. So know Mark is to spend an eternity obeying bert and never to see his family again. Now THATS SCARY

I remember getting a book with a bunch of strategies for how to beat games, which pretty much told the game in detail and everything. It had this game in the list, and just READING about this game gave me chills, especially me imagining that this was actually an NES game that existed.

I had the urge to scream when Bert showed up....gah! I still shudder at the ending...

Mark: "Yay! I won! Woot a beautiful princess! OMG! SHE'S A MONSTER! HOLY CRAP! MY SKIN'S MELTING! Oh thank god it was just a dream..."

Bert: "Or was it..."

I wish the more dsturbing creatures and ideas from the beta version (the man-spider, ect) had oozed into this more. The title screen with blood opposed to slime- ideal!
