Old comment is old. I'll reply anyway. You're somewhat correct. After Akuro absorbs the blood of True Orochi, he attacks Kamiki Village, where Nagi has carried. Despite the horrible wounds received in the battle against Orochi, Shiranui uses the its last strangth to throw itself in front of Akuro's attack, again saving Nagi's life at the cost of its own. After sharing a final moment with Chibiterasu, Shiranui dies.

If anyone wants to know, the dying spirit is Shiranui. I found this exact picture depicting its death. Unfortunately, it was poisoned to death by Orochi.

I love Okami, Cried so much.... Especially the end. Okami will always be my favorite game.

This was my very first PS2 game... and i'm proud to say that I cried so many times during the time I played it.. I was sad when it ended, I was hoping there would be more... more adventures with Ammy and Issun... I still have the disc, though I can no longer play it..
I now have the sequel for the Nintendo DS.
....I wish there were a prequel.
