Pop music with unearthly classic beauty and I am proud to say of my generation

Catman916, thank you for uploading this terrific song from 1968, written by "Papa" John Phillips. It seems to be right in sync with the cultural cycle we're presently in, in 2012. You might think of it as "recycling" — here we go again.

this song drives me sad...don´t know why!

@redtailspirit This song captures so much at once...the pain of it all...the hope of it all...John Phillips suffered inside to achieve the vision to write this song...Love you John...Rest in Peace..

I loved how it was crossfaded with Right Somebody To Love at the start!

@Colin0513 Yes, on the album the end of one blends into the beginning of the other.

umm, Michelle, when you join back up with the others in heaven, tell them thank you for me please... and don't forget to pat yourself on the back too. For me, this song stands above all of the others, perhaps because it expresses, in such a poignant manner, both the agony and the ecstasy of our time. From the riots on Sunset until just a second ago, y'all's music has continued to bring me fresh insights and new ideas for how to cope... y'all make me cry happy... peace!
