Well, part of that (IMO) is because Playstation/Sony is now trying to compete with Microsoft and other console makers...so instead of going with what they originally were doing (bringing us AMAZING RPGs for example, Xenogears, Legend of Mana, Final Fantasy, etc) they're focusing on just selling and making crap tons of money. Theyve lost sight of what they originally focused on: customer satisfaction.

I haven't played those games, but the best storyline I have ever encountered in a video game was Xenogears by a good margin. My opinion.

Oh man such a fan of the rocking boss battle music, especially the epic fights like with Irwin, but this song haunts me and moves me more than any other somehow. Beautiful. LoM is such a hidden diamond in so many ways.

well did you try those games I've said?

Persona 3 actually made me Cry, I haven't played Mana Khemia 1 yet but it was pretty tear jerking by the end from what I've heard. And I've only watched Soul Nomads' Demon Route but I already felt what it's like what happens if you ever decide to Kill all those party members/ Allies you fought with when you decided to play the Hero~ I never felt that it was rushed, I just wanted more. (GEB might feel so since it was focusing on gameplay rather than story

it was not just the story that makes those old games great! you can feel the soul that developer pour in to those games when you play thought them, you enjoy every moment that goes by playing the game. the new game just don;t have that feel anymore, they always seem like a rushed merchandise

You guys, there are a lot of games with good stories in the present consoles you know.

most JRPG games are awesome with their stories =/ like Persona 3 and 4.

The "Tales of" Series, Mana Khemia, God Eater Burst, Valkyria Chronicles, Soul Nomads. There's a lot more I haven't played yet but you can expect some good stories from those kinds of games.

I love most of the OSTs in this game...but this track was/is my most most most fav track of the game for giving me such an undescribable feeling ever!
