Goalkeeper Training: Footwork & Movement w/Peter Shilton

Mike Kelly (currently of Fulham F.C.) and England legend Peter Shilton demonstrate the essentials of sound goalmouth movement.

I'm in the process of backing up old some old instructional tapes to DVD. This program ("Football Association Coaching, Tactics, Skills" by Morris Video) was a favorite of mine as a young goalkeeper. It's getting up there in years, but still has a lot to offer, whether you're a novice 'keeper just starting out or a has-been looking to brush up on your technique.

Nice post, would love to see some more snippets from this virtually forgotten series! One of the lads shooting at Peter Shilton looks like the late Laurie Cunningham.

@Turnby1998 This series was made around 1979 or 1980. I remember it being on every morning during one school holidays. I think there were about a dozen made with Bob Wilson narrating just the one on goalkeeping (surprise surprise!) The others were narrated by Barry Davies and John Motson. A lot of the England players including Kevin Keegan took part, as well as Ron Greenwood and the other FA coaching staff. Great series, and would love to see some more of it on here!
