  • China is crap.

  • It is common knowledge that China made products are inferior.

AMERICA is not receiving enough blame for being profit-driven and not testing foreign products. Who has decided to use these inferior products? Ask your AMERICAN contractors/companies why they decide on cutting back on spending and harming your health.

Don't be too quick to judge others without all the facts.

  • At the time, no one knew the drywall manufactured in China would release strontium sulfied, di-methyl sulfied, carbonyl sulfied, etc. Testing done by ASTM before it was brought into the US.

This material was actually more expensive than domestic drywall. After Katrina, domestic building materials were headed for New Orleans.

No one would INTENTIONALLY purchase and install a more expensive and corrosive product who's detrimental effects would be patently obvious in the first year.

  • Whoever installed the plugs were either careless or very unexperienced. Stabbing conductors into the back of outlets is stupid long term. I don't even think it is legal anymore, but not sure.

  • stop blaming China.. it was the US homebuilders that ran to china and begged them to make them cheap products so they could build homes as cheaply as possible. blame the homebuilders

  • The "Die Wall Of China" must be avoided at all cost.

First it was toys with lead paint, then the toxic tooth paste, then toxic fish and shrips fed with sewer waste, then toxic milk and baby formulas and now this.

They have declared a war! Is the Homeland Security asleep!

  • I wonder how much of this is deliberate on part of the manufacturers? On a different note I'd personally advise people to avoid Chinese-grown produce or other foods. You never know what the water supply in China is like. As far as any of us knows, veg/fruits could have been grown with toxic waters.
