Blender wont open my videos,is there a specific video format?? Becouse I use AVI and MP4 and it wont open it! Can you help me?

Thanks for this tutorial, it's great, but I only ask that next time you render your screen capture at a higher frame rate as it was sometimes hard to follow your cursor.

I would appreciate it if you could help me with this. I have made an animation and rendered all the frames as .png but whenever I put them into the video editor all I see is a white box where the video should be viewing. Please help
