Video of the landing of Endeavour.
The spacial shuttle Endeavour lands safely, returns to Earth at the end of its final mission, STS-134. During the flight, Commander Mark Kelly and crew delivered the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer to the International Space Station.

  • auxiliary power unit, it generates the power required to operate the control surfaces when the shuttle is flying through the atmosphere during reentry.

    The shuttle one uses some pretty nasty ingredients (Hydrazine). Its the reason nasa told people not to touch the wreckage of Columbia.

    If you look on airliners did you ever notice that little tailpipe looking thing at the very very tip of the tail. Thats an APU :) Provides power to start the engines and run instruments while on the ground.

  • what are the tiny flames popping off near the tail base??
