Lynn Lindsay obtained his first patent for automatic water conditoners in 1925. The Lindsay Company originated in St.Paul, Minnesota. The man who started Culligan branched off from Lindsay. Lindsay today is now known as Ecowater . In 1988, Lindsay bought out Servisoft and Miracle Water to become known as Ecowater. Ecowater is now the LARGEST and OLDEST water treatment company in the world today.

Lynn Lindsay worked with Culligan until the 1930s then split to form his own Company. It remained in tack until the mid-1980s when it was bought out by Eco-Water
