also caroline does a great job in training choir leaders and teaching members. which im so great full for all the hard work and effort she puts into this
@SazBondGirl ... thats not relevant but ok; anyway, you can't deny the soloist is a good singer. and you can't generalize people like that :L its about your hearing, and some people find it easier to hear flat, therefore go sharp more, some find it easier to hear sharp, and go flat more.
@lovephotograph I know a singer at my school who has done much better singing in front of much bigger crowds who is 13 and one who is 9 and they are NOT autotuned. So you know, you can't deny that thats not always the case. besides, most soloists go flat when they're nervous not sharp.
@SazBondGirl in all fairness, the soloist was 15/16 at the time, personally i think she's a brilliant singer and if there are any slightly sharp bits in there i would put it down to nerves. but we're so used to hearing this ridiculously auto-tuned and reverbed artists live on stage, that we forget there are better singers who may be put down because they have no effects on their voice.
@ChimLovex Well to be fair, they can only work with what they've got. I have to say the soloist is good but I think that she throws the choir out of balance. She sounds a bit sharp to me. Either that or the choir is flat, but I think that its the soloist. The choir sounds fine without the soloist...

agree with the first bit, less solo's.
but atleast the soloist is a good singer.
but tbh it's not a proffessional choir, and most of them don't remember everything on stage, especially with the excitement.
so she needs to be up there to help them.
