Guys, some characters were chosen for different things based on appearance, rather than fact. Sheik was originally introduced (AKA before we learn of Zelda being Sheik) as male, so that's why Sheik is considered male here. Kirby's pink and cute, traits usually associated with females (not to be sexist, but it's true). Though Sonic being chosen as the tardy girl would likely be based on in-game fact rather than appearance, but we can still enjoy the video regardless.
