The road to I am lost

In France, somewhere between Grenoble and Chambéry, I strapped the camera to my bicycle's front left pannier and went along a rural road. Unexpectedly, I arrived in a town next to a motorway. I had read the map wrongly and was lost (fortunately just a little off track).

I don't like towns and cities, so I used the bleaker sound of the spoken word piece for that scenery. But hopefully you'll feel better at the very end.

That's not to say I can't appreciate cities, by the way. Budapest, Paris and Edinburgh are my favourites, but I'd still rather be in the countryside around them.

They seem like scars on the landscape. We tragically dig up, cover over and destroy what was there for millennia, in order to live cramped, stressed lives. I think we're better when we're spread out among the rest of nature.
