Special thanks to redzipperhead for doing three tours of duty in Vietnam. Wow!
Thanks to the poster who gave us this most interesting video.

What a spectacular fire! Such courageous firefighters, they even rescued some birds. How good of them. I miss those wonderful Woolworth stores. They carried so much stuff! I used to frequent the ones of Canal Street, the one near Elysian Fields Ave. and Gentilly Blvd., the one on the Westbank Expressway in Gretna, plus one on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, plus many others. I'll never forget visiting a store in Boston that was THREE stories. I was so impressed at such a large Woolworth.

I didn't get to see this fire or even hear about it, I wasn't even around, My Uncle was the Manager of the 2 Woolworth on Canal St, I remember my Uncle had a office up on the 2ND floor, talk about some great oldstock from the 30's to 60's, a lot must have went up in smoke, Well i was on the Beautiful Mekong Delta in Vietnam trying to say lives, missed a lot for doing 3 tours, really thankful that old clips like this that exist,..RZH

@redzipperhead >>>---> Thank you for serving our country. Beautiful Mekong Delta must have been a real joy to get out of. You were saving lives? Were you on a chopper or a medic in the field?
Oh, I guess I failed to mention it was Oak St. I used to get my hair cut on Oak St. when I was going to Loyola and I passed that store many times.
Anyway, thanks again for what you did in Nam.
