Set in 1944 Italy, the story of four black American soldiers who get trapped in a Tuscan village during WWII.
True tale of four members of the U.S. army's 92nd division of all-black soldiers, who in 1944 became trapped in a Tuscan village, as they contended with their racist, incompetent commanders and the Nazis.
The film follows four African-American Buffalo soldiers of the 92nd Infantry Division who get trapped in a small tuscan village on the Gothic Line during the Italian Campaign of World War II. The film deals with the Sant'Anna di Stazzema massacre perpetrated by the Nazis in retaliation to Italian partisan activity
Film is based on a novel by James McBride and is scripted by the author.

....i partigiani erano stufi di subire le violenze di una guerra che non sapeva più cos'era un uomo, che ha tolto libertà, dignità, democrazia, e chi più ne ha ne metta...per questo avevano paura perchè erano umani...

i partigiani sparavano e poi scappavano. non avevano il coraggio di una guerra a viso aperto con i nazi. per forza poi i crucchi se la prendevano con i civili. le vittime civili sono colpa dei partigiani. i liberatori di italia sono gli anglo-americani.

This movie is GREAT!!! I just saw it last night. one of the best of the year. Great acting, war scenes, and great musical score make this a great movie to watch.
