Red Phase Part 1 - Day One Overview - GDS Episode 007

This is one of many videos that will cover the subject of Red Phase. In this video I decided to address what you might encounter on the first day of arrival. I don't cover everything and won't so that there is still some surprise when you get there. A drill sergeant friend of mine gave me this idea. ;) Have fun! lol

Red Phase

This phase encompasses weeks 1 through 3 of IET (Initial Entry Training) and consists of an environment of total control, where Drill Sergeants begin transforming volunteers into Soldiers. Red Phase training begins with reception and includes the following:

a. Immersion in the Army's core values, traditions, Warrior Ethos, and ethics.
b. Completion of the global assessment too and initiation of building mental resilience.
c. The development of individual basic combat skills.
d. Building confidence, teamwork, and discipline.
e. Building physical fitness through physical training (PT).
