A Question, what if you wanted the shirt/shorts to be sharp and defined? Are you supposed to model them as a different object or something?

aaaaakashhhhh but HOW can I animate it? because its only one object full of vertex. how can I move with maby only arm? or how to animate his walk? how to move with him if its one object???
