Guys the debate over PG13 is meaningless for films. I would recommend the Movie: The Good Son as a perfect definition to this end.

I remember reading somewhere that the MPAA rate the movies BASED ON ONE TRAILER THEY WATCH for the movie and then decide from there.
I've also read about how a lot of people (mostly parents, some who watched it to see if it was safe to bring their kids to watch) were VERY mad for the rating of Superhero Movie, because they say the F-word a lot (you can only say the F-word ONCE for it to stay PG-13) and there's a very high amount of sexual innuendo. In my opinion, the MPAA is more to blame here.

okay, youve already made ur point many times before. u have ur opinions, we have ours. so u dont gotta go repeatin urself in every single one of the Talkback episodes. if u think its garbage, then fine, say it once, & then thats it
but since u keep continuing to bash this film in an immature way, u are what we civilized people call a
T-R-O-L-L

Yeah I agree with Merc, just because the film doesnt show blood or whatever doesnt mean it is a PG-13.I mean Batman Begins and Dark Knnight dealt with very adult themed subjects that it justt couldnt be a PG-13.

Yeah, the MPAA is full of crap.Parents should buy their kids Batman & Robin so they can be scarred for life just like us :D Well I guess thats not a good thing.

I absolutely agree that's it's better that it pushed the limits of the PG-13 rating, instead of it being outright exploitative.
You can tell that this film was cut back to receive the PG-13 rating, too. There is a lot of awkward editing that come at points of graphic violence. The movie flows like these scenes were shot and edited together, then someone took that cut and removed the graphic bits to make a TV edit. Even Nicky Kat (guy riding shotgun with Gordon) had some of his lines dubbed over during the Dent transport scene. So saying this was an R movie without the graphic violence is right on.

yeah the merc, you are right, the MPAA is pointless they're not doing their job right... now that you say it I can relate to that. I didn't realize it's strong movie for children to see since I'm an adult without kids... but this movie IS dark. It's all the same issue all over: if a batman movie is rated R they wouldn't be able to make de ammounts of money they are making, 'cause they wouldn't have the teens! It's all about 'em, look at all the flicks.
