  • i hope nice looking girls in skirts will use it :)

  • @t33fk4y the only people who've not thought this through are people who say "this isn't well thought out." Obviously overtaking is a non-issue if you know anything about aerodynamics, and the shweebs are very well ventilated and have reflective roofs - meaning it would be very pleasant in summer (and still better than cycling or walking in winter, or in the rain). There's a reason Google are heavily funding this project. I think it's an awesome idea - safe, clean, fun, cheap and healthy.

  • Actually looking at a possible urban instillation in Florida. We've figured out that we can refrigerate a lunch box size cooler, certainly there is room in the rear of the bubble for AC . Vents won't touch you in our tropical summer heat and 100% humidity, at the peak of the summer tourist season people only have one thing in mind here... GET INSIDE QUICK. The storage facility could also be kept chilled so when a car rolled out it would be pre-cooled for the tiny AC unit to take over.

  • @CSoleil90 overtaking would be unnecessary - since physics tells us that two Shweebs in a "train" would actually go faster than either could separately (same amount of drag, double the power). Also, though I've not personally tried the prototype in NZ, a friend of mine who has tells me they are already very well ventilated. As a bonus, you'd expend a 3rd of the energy moving at 15-25kph in one of these than you would walking at 5kph, so you'd probably not even break a sweat.

  • @UTubeRobot21 could'nt agree with you more.

  • lol this and future? this is step back...

  • I really like it!!! It still needs some improvement (e.g. a small "window" you could open to let fresh air in) but I think it's already a fantastic invention! Well and overtaking should be made possible but I have no idea how....

It might not be possible in huge cities but I think it has great potantial to become a liked transportation system for e.g. national parks!!

  • People already have a personal transport system... it's called LEGS, and you aren't restricted to staying on track with a predetermined destination.

  • Intro wasted my life.

  • great, and if someone in front of you decides to take it slow, you have to push him, too? overtaking will be impossible

and of course, in summer this will be really refreshing, being in a transparant glasshouse.

this is so not thought out
