Tim Russert would be the only journalist I would pay attention to. He was synonomyous with Sunday morning, when all the spin cycles were set at full blast, and if you were a political junkee like myself, he had the best guests and the most relative agenda-setting talking heads to make us all confused. I believe Tim tried to make all of us less confused.

The cause of Tim Russert's death may be attributed to a heart attack, but Tim reported George Herbert Walker "poppy" Bush was in the White House on the morning of 911. That Tim was on vacation in Rome, where he had an audience with the pope, and dinner with the mayor of Rome, who allegedly told him the masterminds of 911. Tim was interrupted from his 4 year planned trip to Italy by a summons from NBC to return to work. Confronted Bush Kerry on skull n bones. And then the Valeria Plume thing.

@rocksmeller99 What a women puts in her body AND puts out is her Constitutional Right to life, libery amd happiness An amlgamation of cells is not human life. You see, the Republican Party which you look to for religious usurpation of government would rather bomb live babies with depleted uranium in the couintries they don't like, and force women in this country to surrender their most personal decisions. Back off, NEOCON!!

Tim Russert was a propagandist.
In his deposition during the Valerie Plame investigation, he was asked what his standards were in deciding what info he received from government sources was for broadcast, and what was confidential. His answer was all information was "presumptively confidential" unless the official gave him permission.
In other words, he would only broadcast what they told him he could. Is there a better definition of a propagandist?

Tim seemed to be a nice man but he was the garbageman's son. I call him that, as a Catholic, he could have used his position to stand up for the millions of murdered babies but didn't. He loved his fame and money more. If he had stood up for the babies, he would have been driving a garbage truck, too. Savage called him the garbageman's son and I wholeheartedly agree.

No disrespect to you intended, but you are only 20. If you had kids for any length of time, you would understand that NEVER hugging your son, and NEVER telling him you love him is meaner than if he had beat him and told him he hated him. At least that would have been honest. Dishonest indifference to a child is torture, because you spend a lifetime seeking approval you will NEVER receive.
Tim was a great moderator. He will be missed in politics and journalism.
