JAMES MCAVOY PASSED OUT IN THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND

The last time we saw James McAvoy he was running around the forest dressed as a magical faun in The Chronicles of Narnia. In The Last King of Scotland he delves into more serious matters as the hand picked personal physician to Ugandan dictator Idi Amin played by Forest Whitaker. It's the 1970s and McAvoy's character has a taste for the women, not to mention one of Amin's wives. However Amin doesn't exactly suffer fools gladly and makes him pay for his betrayal in a very realistic torture scene

Terrible voice over. THEY NEED TO HIRE SOMEONE ELSE!!!! McAvoy is so dedicated. Sad to hear how difficult it was to do the torture scene. A torture scene wouldn't be that comfortable, but you don't want them to get really hurt. I've not yet scene it. Sounds like you would feel as though you're being beaten along with him. The character seems like a decent guy so seeing this will be hard for me, but after hearing how great James and Forest are in this movie. I'm going to buy it as soon as I can.

I just saw the DVD, my heart felt like to stop at the torture part.  He is such a great actor in this movie, so intense. After I knew he was really upset while filming that scene, I feel more heartbreaking.

anyway, you could see james mcavoy's dedication to his work and ofcourse, his charm always pulls through which ever character he plays~ ah. i think ill forever be a fangirl of him!!<3

i love the way James thought more carfully about his charecter and didnt just go with the script. (oh and i remember the london bombings, that was like a mini 9/11 for britain so kinda a big deal. it must have been hard to carry on filming with that going on.)
