I'm sitting in a room, for tape (1969)

note: I've decided to put this piece in this channel, even if Lucier is not a minimalist composer nor this is strictly a minimalist piece, because it's a wonderful example of "process music" (which is indeed also called sometimes "minimalist"), music that I love and which is very much in relationship with Reich's music.

  • You are absolutely right that this is process music, and in that way it fits right in next to Reich's pendulum music or his phase music.
