It's one big CRAP, not ending. Irina is (not was) great character with complicated personality and history. They should make ending in which one she would be a black and fallen hero.. but hero. She's amazing, and she deserve it.

What a great ending to the series. If we look back, Irina had always hidden something. In "Maternal Instincts," Sydney asked if Irina's killing Vaughn and other betrayals were what she meant by "the truth takes time." Irina was after Rambaldi. It does make me wonder if Irina had truly been held hostage by her sister in season 4. My main shock was that Sydney and Jack ever trusted Irina again in season 5.

@Bananek333 Well Jack was already the fallen hero so Irina couldn't be that as well. I think it goes to show how complicated Irina really is in that she'd attempt to kill a daughter she's spent her life trying to protect.

Irina has always been a manipulator. She will try to kill Sydney if it means getting what she wants; Sydney herself was born out of a mission!

It's basically: Sydney wants a mother, and Irina uses Sydney's feelings for her own benefit, just like she used Jack.

This fight is totaly out of charicter for Irina! The Irina that we loved through the whole show up to this moment is not the Irina that I see here. She would never try to kill Sydney!

@rraacchheelleelliizz Hi. Michael Giacchino released two CDs of Alias scores but only for seasons 1 & 2. So unfortunately the song playing in the background is not something you can buy. It is very good though, isn't it? I've always loved the Alias soundtrack! MG is good at capturing the right "mood"!

It's interesting, the relationship between Sydney and Irina. I so loved watching it unfold. Irina always put power over family but she loved Sydney in her own way; she always came back to help her daughter-- then this? What a cop out. JJ Abrams made a rush job of the finale and totally ruined what would have been a great ending for Irina's character. She should have died a blackened hero IMO. I feel like that's what they were leading to and then in the very last episodes bam. Game change :(
