For everyone who says this was a bad event, remember that it happened before the two Union Square Street Sessions and the Red Bull Snowscrapers. This event went a long way towards convincing sponsors that a snowboarding event in NYC would work.

Wow your dumb! Time square isnt for cars its for people, and a sick snowboarding venue like this being held would attract people. Think about it, its about the tourist . Just think about it

Duhhhh - ok, you got a point. This was mostly a media event, the crowd was small. Still, lots of people saw the shredders in an unexpected venue on TV and the web. We posted this clip on OOH-TV (long gone and unlamented) and got 125,000 views. This rail exhibition was a media monster.

Why does everyone think Shaun White's a sell out? Every single one of you would have taken the chance to sign up with the sponsors he had, who doesn't want money? The only sell-out-ish thing he did was dropping Volcom for Target.

For stuff like this they generally ask the athletes to bring their medals. I don't know if that's the case here, but sometimes it is.

Everyone's been talking about White, but personally I dislike Teter more. If anyone saw her on Punk'd, they know what i'm talking about. She's too stuck in the moment of her win-she brought her medal along with her, and for those who didn't see her on Punk'd, she tried to get out of her (fake) parking? ticket by saying she was an Olympic gold medalist. not only does that have ZERO relevance but it only shows more how stuck in her fame she is. but whatever, her and shaun are still legit boarders
