How a girl resets her check engine light

This video shows you the easy way to turn that pesky engine light off. Remove jewelry and use good judgment when doing this. I did this many times with no problem. After completing these steps, drive at least 30 mi. to reset computer engine. This was performed on a 2000 Ford Mustang convertible V6 engine. Good luck!

The car won't pass the emissions this way (not even safety!). They plug-in the scan tool which tells them 1-The battery was unplugged/replaced recently, 2-"Not ready for emission test", which means that the drive cycle hasn't been completed yet. By the time you complete the drive cycle, the "check engine" light gets you again :)

Disconnecting the battery may turn off the Check engine light/ service engine light but when they test your car its gonna come up "not ready" so your gonna fail the test anyway your better off fixing the problem for the reason the light is coming on & if you dont fix it the light will stay on & will continue to come on doesnt matter how many times you disconnect the battery or reset the code fix your car! & if it's flashing your really screwed it's misfiring which can cause alot of damage.

Yeah you could do all that ooooooor you could go to kragen or where ever and they'll shut it off for free! no having to mess with anything! which would you rather do? waste time with the damn battery or just drive a few blocks and have someone do it for you!? messing with the battery is a pain especially resetting all the settings on your stereo, and maybe your stereo has a lock code and then now you can't use the damn thing...and I do believe that that white power is CORROSION!

You can lock your radio and maybe u dont be able to use it again if You dont have the radio code, dont disconnect the batery NEVER

I love how all the guys get on here and tell her a paragraph of their manly "knowledge" Shut the hell up. She obviously knows the light is NOT a good sign, she CLEARLY does not care. She did not make the video to show us how to find wat was wrong, she made the video to HIDE wat was wrong.... I give her two thumbs up!!!
