How do you get the toy back if they get bored and dont go get it? I wanna train my german shepherd for this but he gets distracted easily and doesnt always retrieve the toy

I had a black labrador that can leap longer than that I was amazed sadly I was young back then and I cant afford to train her properly.

That's amazing how you can train your dogs to stay like that! Must have a lot of patience ;) My lab just takes off as soon as we throw it xD But he doesn't jump very far because he has hip displaysia :(((
