  • So the people who have it , you guys get a constant blue channels bond light on all 2-3 channels??

That blue lights is so cool , way better than the green lights when you are not bonded.

  • Yes I believe so

  • I think you are in CT or somewhere up there. Do you have docsis3 at your house now??

If so how much is your internet company charge for docsis3 over there?

I have Cox in san diego and we only have premier speeds as the fastest right now. They say we should have ultimate speed by early 2010 and I dot know how much it will be.

Premier in san diego is like 54 for internet alone, not high def channels and all that.

Las Vegas went docsis 3 , oct -09. They consistently get 50/10

    I caint wait!!

  • I'm in the New England area and Comcast has launched DOCSIS 3.0 here a few months ago. its about $10 more that normal prices

  • So basically the internet speed won't be faster? Won't transfer data faster?

because currently I have Cox HSI top package, but its kinda slow right now..

If I get this modem, will I get a better signal?

  • You can get this modem and it will probably work fine with Cox (check with cable provider) but to take advantage of the faster speeds they provider must have Docsis 3.0 service.

  • Nice speeds. What is the monthly service fee you're paying for these speeds?

  • Cable Co's need to go ahead and push FTTH.. FiOS has already reached 150/35Mbps with ease... Im fine with my 30/4Mbps cable connection though and probably will be for a while

  • @thelasthallow No. Just buying the modem wont give you faster speeds. You'll still need to upgrade your speed through your provider. A Docsis 3 modem is just able to handle the high-end speeds by supporting channel bonding (I believe Docsis 2.0 maxes out at around 40Mbps) I'd still recommend you get a Docsis 3 modem to future-proof your connection even if you dont have the faster speeds (and you can also stop the leasing fees if youre paying any)

  • @bwonedotcom so i also need a router for this right? and what is your comcast download and upload speed that your paying for

  • i need a dns for this i want it to work so bad PLEASE i want a dns and ip,gateway, subnetmask for it please i want it so work

  • @sigh2infinity Have you considered the possibility that your modem is broken? I have this model, and I don't get the issues you're describing.

  • So wait. if i upgrade to this modem i will get faster upload and download speeds? my cable provider dose support DOCSIS 3.0 but im not paying for the newer speeds.

  • @sigh2infinity maybe your modem is broken, that's what happens when stuff comes from China.
