  • Ther is a product over the counter at walgreens and albertsons called Prelief that will help you...

  • @joyldschurch - Yes, I take that. It does help a lot :-)

  • I had a lap in '95 when I was 18 and went on bc pills immediately after. I was on them until aug '09 and had to get off of them b/c they caused a blood clot in my leg. My hormones went so crazy that I had to go to the ER a couple of times. I have been trying to control the endo w/ bioidentical progesterone but it is hit and miss b/c of the diet issues, etc. I am now looking into getting another lap done b/c I think I need to bee cleaned out - digestive issues - endo on intestines :(

  • @LahomaK - so sorry to hear that you have to deal with this disease as well. Yeah, I am trying to change my diet but there are times that it is just hard, and then I am in pain. Intercourse it is always painful :-(

  • I have endo, and one of my doctors thinks I have IC as well, so I will be getting a test done in the next month hopefully. I had one test done 3 years ago that diagnosed me with IC, but my new doctor said that test gave a lot of false positives, so my doctor wants to do a different test that is more accurate. I hope you get answers soon!!!

  • @penguinvsminja I am sorry to hear that, it is not fun at all. Let me know how it goes, I might have to have it checked as well.

HUgs, and I hope everything goes well!

  • @themaevictoria - Glad to hear, your recovery was faster than mine, I guess everybody is different in that sense, and my body just doesn't heal that faster. Hope you are feeling better.

  • I had the Laparoscopy for Endometriosis at 15 years old!

I was back at school three weeks later, with three incisions, and a cyst.

  • I had the surgery I feel great! Sometimes the bladder gets weird tho that I agree. I had my surgery in 08 its almost 2012 I ok dr said outta 50% I am 49% thats bad!

  • I have IC..stay away from coffee, chocolate, any cirtus juices..look on the IC websight

  • Sweet child I feel you. This disease almost killed me and I have suffered with it over 20 years. Thank you for your inspiration. Most Western Doctors don't understand this disease. How are you doing now? I understand a raw vegan diet is the best thing. Stay away from Western Medicine Doctors. They will kill you. Seriously. They just don't get it.

  • I know how u feel but it didnt take me that long to heal and feel better idk why it took u so long maby cause im younder than you i had my mines done when i was 18 i am now 19 i got it done on a saturday and went back to school a week later i have a problem with sitting still and missing out on work :) did u ever talk to your doctor about your healing process..

  • No, not yet, but I would like to in the next year or so. I have been trying to find someone to get endo off my intestines if they find it again during a lap, but no luck. I am in Missouri and when I had it done before, I was in Florida. Idk if they don't do that anymore or if MO is just a horrible state for gyno or what. I was just reading several articles about how they can - in most patients - see endo w/ a MRI or a CT scan, so maybe I'll go that route first. Are you doing better now??
