Not to mention USA has signed the Geneva Convention.

Waterboarding is not mild. The claim that it is "simulated drowning" is dishonest.
Would it be "simulated strangulation" if I strangled you until you passed out, then revived you and did it again, and again and again?
-
water-boarding is hardly mild--it is a war crime, for which Americans are going to go to jail for.

While your comparison of severity is accurate, the reason people are complaining about US torture is that our country is supposed to be above torture. On top of that, we can vote, giving us potential to directly affect this issue. We don't have such power over other countries' torture policies.

The federal government is made up of individuals that need very much to be held accountable. Regrettably the average voter pays no attention to what they do between elections and base their vote on a few speeches, their previous bias for one party or the other, and a bunch of campaign ads. This leech wants to sue the government itself which IS the taxpayers. It's about nothing but taking our money.

I like this guy. good ideas.
This is the kind of sustained commitment that is needed to truly change govt. There needs to be an army of people who call bullshit on bogus govt rationalizations and work for transparency and accountabilty.
