From http://www.GamblersTelevision.com Hello pro football fans from our Rockstar studio this is our NFL Injury Report for the sports betting public as well as Fantasy Football players.
Buffalo Bills starting quarterback Trent Edwards was forced to leave the Bills 41-17 loss to Arizona in the first quarter after suffering a concussion. Bills head coach Dick Jauron told the media that his 2nd year QB was responsive but still a little groggy immediately following the game. On Monday Edwards was reported to be experiencing post-concussion symptoms and he would be undergoing more tests during the week. The bye comes at the right time for Buffalo. Edwards will have a full two weeks to recover. With a week off the Bills are back in action October 19th at home to the San Diego Chargers.
Tampa Bay Buccaneer starter Brian Griese suffered an elbow bruise and shoulder injury against the Denver Broncos in the second half of their game on Sunday. The injury forced the veteran QB out of the game for good in the third quarter after he was sacked by Bronco cornerback Champ Bailey. Buc coach John Gruden listed Griese as doubtful for their big NFC South battle with the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Gruden reported it was too early to tell if he would give Jeff Garcia the start over Griese and would need more time to reach a decision. Tampa is currently a 2-point favorite over Carolina.
And finally another injury for Brian Westbrook.
Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook fractured two ribs in their 23-17 loss to the Washington Redskins. Eagle coach Andy Reid informed the media of Westbrooks injury during his press conference on Monday. Reid went on to say that his star running back is very sore and made no announcement regarding the length of Westbrooks recovery time. Westbrook had missed 1 game this season due to ankle problems and now faces the possibility of even more time missed. The Eagles are at San Francisco this week and Philadelphia is currently a 5-point favorite.
That will do it for todays NFL injury report. Check out GamblersTelevision.com this week as Tony T delivers his picks from week 6 of the NFL season.
