Why do Muslim women Wear Black: Part II

It is a widespread misunderstanding as to why Muslim women wear black---no, it is not command in the religion. It is a cultural practice and a personal preference.

Jazzakallah kheiran. It is the first niqab I owned---I cut the hem of my jilbab that was too long and sewed the niqab myself (it took me one night to do ). I didn't own a sewing machine so I stitched it by hand. LOL, some of the sisters I know joke that it reminds them of the women of the Ansaar that covered their faces with the spare fabric from their aprons when they ayah pertaining to khoimar was revealed.

My niqab? Jazzakallah kheiran. A burqa is a gold mask worn by women in the 5aleej. This is a pink flip niqab that I cut the flip part off of. I am wearing it with a white abaya and a floral shayla hijab.

I'm glad someone clarified this. It makes me angry how saudi arabia enforces black in some areas. It's Arabia.

Last week I was standing waiting for my dad to pick me up from the store and I was wearing lavendar on top and black pants. My LEGS were BURNING in the heat. Why? Because black absorbs sun rays. It doesn't reflect off of it like lighter colors. So it doesn't make ANY sense Allah would make us hotter than we are.
