I'm a big fan of Chis's work, and saying that, I think some of the impact of the jokes are lost because of the fast-cutting, trying-to-land-jokes-as-quickl­y-as-possible format.

I think the style of humour works much better when it has space to breathe, such as in the brilliant David Lynch/Crispin Glover series. Hopefully Chris & Wife can build on this though and produce much higher quality comedy going forward.
