Why do we need more people to join the Army?Every able Singaporean man has to go through NS and will be called to arms if Singapore goes to war which it probably never will.

I am a public affairs sergeant in the US Army and I think the video does not do a very good job portraying Singapore's Army. Far too much running and shots of the same thing. It gets repetative. Though Singapore's Army lacks operational expirience, they were taught by the best. The US!

@guitarhamster102 Yup real low. But then again, every Singaporean man has to serve! so obviously there'd be a dilution of standards. And for many its more a character building experience.

My buddy from the US had to go back to Singapore to serve because he was born there. Even though he's pretty skinny, he apparently is better built than most singapore men so he was put into special forces. lol. low standards.

@BakaBwaka Two main reasons:
1) To entice people to sign on to the army.
2) To manage public opinion about the military.
In other words, it's propaganda.

@Patafanoia Actually buddy you're the joke as you are clearly ignorant. Singapore has a respectable military, especially taking into consideration that it is a relatively "young" country that has a small population and limited space. Its active personnel per 1000 head of the population is greater than that of the United States, United Kingdom, France, Australia, People's Republic of China, Japan and Republic of Korea.

@GermKiller everything in a movie or TVC is always make to appease general crowd....take the movie SWAT for example....we all know that SWAT members dun reveal faces. But then if we see a movie with them covering up all the time..........boring rite?
