One Red Ring (SYSTEM ERROR E74)

ALRIGHT THURSDAY NIGHT AFTER ME PLAYING COD:WORLD AT WAR AND THEN MY BROTHER PLAYING COD4, HE QUICKY SHUTS OFF THE SYSTEM AFTER IT FREEZING I DONT KNOW OR I AM NOT SURE, AND SATURDAY MORNING HE TELLS ME THAT OUR XBOX GOT THE ONE RED RING, SO I CALL UP MICROSOFT (YES I CALLED NOT HIM) AND I ASK THEM HOW DO I FIX THIS PROBLEM AND THE GUY (WHICH I COULD BEARLY UNDERSTAND, TELLS ME TO REMOVE THE HARD DRIVE ECT ECT) AND THEN HE SAYS..ITS GONNA BE 119 DOLLARS FOR REPAIR COST.. AND I AM NOT GOING TO PAY FOR IT TO GET FIXED.. I REFUSE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT MY FAULT.. IT'S CALLED SYSTEM ERROR ERROR E74 AND THE OTHER ERROR CODE IT GAVE MY WAS 102.. AND I AM NOT SURE WHAT THAT MEANS BUT I AM NOT GONNA PAY FOR IT TO GET FIXED AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS/HAD THIS PROBLEM AFTER THE UPDATE? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

-if anyone knows how to help,besides fix it myself or temp fixes, its stil working right now but i am not worrying about it, so yeah i just fingured maybe its would be a good idea to ask people to leave a message in my inbox! because its not working right stil and yet i dont know its going to get this error again, alright its happened again, and its the same error (the towel trick only works for 3hours maxium) specially with the E74 error aka system error, please let me know if anyone has/ or had this problem.. i am not paying for it to get repair intil people tell me if they give u a new xbox or the same one? i am annoyed and angry..thanks for watching

-update- was able to link this broken one to the net, and was able to a box (aka coffin) for 100 dollars (not including tax) and microsoft gave me a tracking number, for anyone who has this problem please go for 99 dollar price via www.xbox.com instead of the 119 dollar one! -waiting on the box to send this one back mean time i will stil beable to play cod:nazi zombies on xbox 360
-update.. we found out after paying it for to be repair that it would be cover under the 3year warranty (which we do have for the 3 red rings and it now includes the Error E74

FOR ALL- I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK...WE BOUGHT A XBOX 360 ELITE (RE5 LIMITED EDITION FIRST THEN SADLY HAD TO RETURN IT AND BOUGHT THE BLACK XBOX ELITE) AND WELL THIS ONE HAS BEEN SHIPPED TO MICROSOFT SERVICE CENTER..I DONT CARE HOW ITS SPELLED
