Wow, why do you carry so much? Especially for day hikes.... Instead of taking so much gear, LEARN, gain knowledge! Learn not what to do when you pack your entire bedroom, instead learn what to do when you have nothing but yourself. learn not to use fancy gear but instead to improvise ECT. Just take the bare essentials and you will enjoy it much more immensely. for example, what i take....
Knife, Matches, and Warm clothes. The moral of it all is: PACK MORE IN YOUR BRAIN, NOT IN YOUR BACKPACK!!!

Dwight Shrute anyone?

haha :D you do have quite a few knives. ahhh the freedom to choose to have or leave behind as you desire.
I am a bit disappointed that I didn't see a Billy machete/sword (see: Predator 1 movie) in a drop leg holster or otherwise attached to the pack (ok, J/K)

no offense but why do you take a tarp and sleeping pad on day hikes?
What kind of knife is that that you have strapped to the front? Around timestamp 4:05 I think it is. I was unable to make out what you said there.

also why do you need a saw and like 5 knives

Well that's a bushcraft kit. The saw is needed for harvesting wood. And I actually don't take that many knives. It's usually because of knife testing that'll I have that many knives or more.
Also because I do hang out in the woods for around 7-10 hours, the pad is nice for a little nap. :D

The tarp is also there to practice making survival shelters. Also it does rain here frequently during year and the tarp will help keep most of my gear dry.
That and because of the extra stuff it can potentially be an extended trip pack. Not that I would go with it, but still.
Also, I'm going to make a vid on my actual day hike pack.
