I have never heard a single substantive argument made that demonstrates why "it was time to move on," namely because no such argument exists. This statement rings even more hollow when one takes into consideration the numerous and prolonged conflicts the American public has endured since times long before Nixon took office. To justify the pardoning of man who made criminal use of the presidency with such trite is indefensible. Nixon was humiliated, but that's not a punishment for any U.S. crime.

Ford even admitted that he changed details and autopsy reports to try and make to ridiculous official story seem more accurate.
