With is 3,726 m high from sea level, Mount Rinjani is the second highest mountain in Indonesia. Mount Rinjani is a part of the Rinjani National Park that covers the area of 41,330 ha, with 51,500 ha area of surrounding protected forests. On the west cone of the mountain there is caldera with the size about 3,500 m X 4,800 m longways from the east to the west. In the Caldera there is a Segara Anak Lake, covers the area of 1,156 ha with 300 m in maximum depth. Among others mountains in Indonesia, Rinjani can be said has the best scenery.
