"Begin The Beguine", Artie Shaw & His Orchestra - Instrumental - RCA/Victor #27546-B. This is the, "B-Side" to the 78-R.P.M. record whose, "A-Side" was, "Frenesi". Both these songs were major hits for Shaw and his orchestra. Note the long, bent clarinet note near the end of this song. Shaw was a clarinetist, and he was extremely good at it!

  • A wonderful tune and arrangement. No wonder it was popular. I grew up with it and still love it. I think it's the longest melody from that period without a standard AABA form - 120 plus bars?

  • Thats an oldie but a goody. Very nice indeed.
