@HitsTownUSA Yes that's true too. If you find a non abused copy those sound very good. Styrene sucks because one pass with a jacked up needle and they're done for! But the record labels loved that because it meant that people would have to go out and buy their favorite record again! CBS Records were the ones who invented the manufacturing process. That's why the majority of their 45's from the late 50's to the late 80's are on styrene. Vinyl copies were usually subcontracted from other plants.

Oh man!! One of my favorite Three Dog Night singles!!! The mono 45 is where it's at with their songs! Sounds really good because most Dunhill 45's from the late 60's and early 70's sound like crap because most of them were pressed on lousy quality vinyl that sounded like they mixed ground up asphalt in with it!! LOL

@blackwaxjh Not to mention most ABC records 45's are pressed on styrene..Yuck...At least this pressing was spared the brutal needles of the day.
