Actually, "Oh Happy Day" is a traditional Hymn. "Happy Day" is a song written by Tim Hughes. Tomlin has arranged the two songs for this performance. We shouldn't really be having this argument.

All Christian artists sing each other songs. It's for Christ, give me a break!

Someone (doesn't have to be Chris), but someone needs to make a recording of this, exactly the way its done here!

@OlderMoi it totally is the one from tim hughes....watch on and dont comment till u watch the whole vid....tomlin just morphed the traditional hymn with the new song

There are two great Tim Hughes versions. Search "tim hughes happy day" on youtube home page and check out first version recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios.
For the CD studio version with a really cool video combining Lord of the RIngs and Happy Feet scenes, search "greatest day in history happy day" and see the first video. If you're not happy after watching that second one, as Joe Jackson said, "jack, you dead."

The original version of "Oh Happy Day" was written/recorded in the late 60s by Edwin Hawkins singers, link is available on youtube (3rd video down not counting "Happy Days" theme if u search "Oh Happy Day).
Tim H's version is titled "Happy Day", but his main chorus lyrics are "oh, happy day, happy day". His original version also on Youtube.
Tomlin does a cool thing combining both songs into a medley. I like Tomlin's "whooaa's", but he left out the bridge from Hughes version, best part.

I need a clearer version, this song is amazing.
This isn't the Tim Hughes version people. This is OH Happy Day, Tim Hughes' is completely different and simply called Happy Day, no OH.

I named the song/video based off the chorus of the song (standard for songs). I'll check CCLI later and get this all cleared up.
