People are cheering for the band not for Anette! She didn't even know who Nightwish were when she sent in her demo, she's an opportunist. She's a FAKE, who never followed Metal and proves time and time again at every gig that she has no clue how to sing this genre of music! The guys MUST regret having her but they are stuck now aren't they? They have to fulfil their obligations to the bookings as they love their fans! I feel sorry for them having to hear her ruin the songs night after night.

Anette should get back to her ABBA tribute band where her kind of voice belongs. She is probably a lovely woman but she cannot cope with the massive Nightwish songs. All her straining and forcing sounds so amateur and pathetic, she just can't cut it with a band as big sounding as Nightwish, her voice is too puny, squeaky and WAY OFF PITCH!!! HORRIBLE!!!

anettes not a bad singer infact shes great its just she shouldnt try to sing the operatic songs from tarja
i was at metropolis and this was an amazing concert :D

You are too kind, just be honest, she's rubbish. You might want to fool yourself into thinking that Anette is great but my ears tell me very different. The fact is she is pulling Nightwish down with her course, inaccurate, clumsy vocals. Nightwish get a decent vocalist so you can conquer the world with your fantastic music!! Get rid of Anette, she is holding you all back! She's not good enough for you guys!!! She is killing your great songs with her screeching and shouting! Cheap poppy vocals!!

I'm at least happy for the fact that, even though there seem to be so many Anette haters, they have sold out concerts, with frenetic audience, everyone totally loves it, everyone applauses and sings along. That's great, true fans still exist!

Tuomas really liked Anette's version of Ever Dream. It was one of his deciding factors on hiring her.

Also Tarja was trained in opera and Anette wasn't. However Anette can sing in more styles then Tarja ever could.

Plus Anette's voice matches with Marco's a lot better then Tarja's did.

Then there is the fact that Tuomas wrote DDP before he hired Anette so she had to adapt to the music. And she hadn't heard of NW very long before Tuomas started the auditions.

Everything you said is nothithing but true

Although, the song that Annete sent to Nightwish to apply for the job was her new version of this song
